Entering and viewing student records and pilot currency

You can use ZuluLog to manage your students' flight information, logbook endorsements, and ground training. You can do this regardless of whether your students use ZuluLog.

Additionally, if your students use ZuluLog you can also view their pilot currency--passenger-carrying currency, instrument currency, NVG currency, and so on.

Enter your flight instructor certificate

Before you can work with student records, you'll need to enter your CFI certificate into ZuluLog. Do this from the Certificates/Medical screen on the Pilot Logbook menu.


Adding students to your account

You can search for your students or invite them to ZuluLog from the My Profile menu.


Entering student flight records

To enter student flights, go to the Flight Entry screen and select Instructor from the Crew Role drop-down. You'll then see a list of your ZuluLog students at the bottom. (For non-ZuluLog students, enter the student name in the first Passenger field.)


Entering student logbook endorsements

To enter student endorsements, go to the Endorsement Entry screen and select your student's name from the drop-down at the top. (For non-ZuluLog students, select the blank entry from the drop-down and enter the student's name in the Student Name field.)


Entering student ground instruction

To enter student ground instruction, go to the Ground Entry screen and select your student's name from the drop-down at the top. (For non-ZuluLog students, select the blank entry from the drop-down and enter the student's name in the Student Name field.)


Viewing students' records

To view student flights, endorsements, or ground training, go to the corresponding viewer. Then, click Filter and select your student's name from the drop-down.


Viewing student pilot currency

To view pilot currency for your students, go to the Pilot Currency screen and select your student's name from the drop-down.
