If your students or instructors use ZuluLog, you can add them to your own account. This will enable instructors to view and update their students' pilot logbook, PIC and instrument currency, ground training, and more. To add your instructors or students to your account:

Adding a student or instructor to your account

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to the "My Profile" menu and select "Find Friends by Name".
  3. Search for your student (or instructor) by his/her full name or email address.
  4. Click on the appropriate search result to launch the "Friend Request" screen.
  5. From the friend request screen, select "Student" or "Instructor" from the drop-down list at the top.
  6. Once you click "Send Request", the friend request will be sent. Once your student/instructor accepts the request, his/her name will appear on your list of students or instructors.
  7. If you are an instructor, please make sure you enter your relevant instructor certificate(s) into the system. This is required before you can access your students' information. You can enter certificates from the "Certificates / Medical" entry on the "Currency / Certificates" menu.

Adding student/instructor permissions to an existing friend record

This must be done by the student.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to My Profile -> My Friends.
  3. Click on the name of the friend to whom you'd like to grant instructor permissions.
  4. Check the "Grant instructor privileges" box, and save the record.
