The first time you enter a flight in a particular aircraft, the system will ask you for more information on that aircraft, such as category, class, number of engines, and so on.

Whenever you subsequently enter a flight in that same aircraft, the system will show you the aircraft attributes so you'll know whether you're entering turbine time, complex time, rotorcraft time, etc.

To see which aircraft you've defined, you can look at the aircraft list on the Aircraft menu from the top menu bar. However, when entering flights, it's easy to find previously defined aircraft without leaving the flight entry screen:
