Schedule Restriction Based on Aircraft
This is also an implicit restriction, similar in concept to the previous tutorial.
Example: You want to restrict your pilots from creating schedules for any B350 aircraft unless they're current on the Night Cross-Country custom currency.
Setup:
  • Edit the applicable custom currency definition and add the exact text [sch_restrict][restrict_model=B350] to the Description field.
Operation:
  • As with restricting by route, there is no new "Operational Parameters" section on the Schedule Entry screen.
  • Instead, before saving the schedule entry, the system will check the aircraft type, based on the aircraft definition for the tail number. If the aircraft is a B350 and the Night Cross-Country currency is not met, the save is disallowed.
  • Note that administrators can still schedule pilots as desired.
